'Saddle Ring Carbine (SRC)' Lever action rifle manufactured circa 1915. Features saddle ring on left side of receiver, 20" round barrel, full length magazine tube, pinned brass blade front sight, (Blade is an early replacement), folding ladder rear sight, smooth walnut forend & straight wristed buttstock, steel carbine buttplate. Bore is very good/bright, strong rifling. Thin bluing on barrel/tube is about 20% with the rest a gray color from handling wear, some blue color in protected areas. Loading gate, trigger, hammer and lever show blue finish. Loading gate may be a later replacement, shows coverage of dark bluing. Wood is good condition with minor scratches/dents, shows an old varnish finish. Action is smooth, the Winchester markings are clear/readable.
